Ghost of Black Histories Past

Ghost of Black Histories Past is a story of a young Africa American lawyer who owns a prestigious law firm. Her selfishness to acknowledge the people that have paved the way for her freedoms and success causes her to receive uninvited guests from the past.

Lola is a very brilliant but stubborn lawyer who refuses to acknowledge those who have paved the way for her success. Her persistent mother, Mae Rena and faithful but inexperienced secretary (4-months out of jail) Lauren Whitfield tries to get Lola to understand her heritage and roots. Lola refuses to believe that her success is based on dead people that did not earn half the money in their time that she made in one day.

When Lauren requests a day off to go to a black history play for her niece Lola gets very insistent and becomes firm on her stand against black history month and its non-importance to what happens in the present. After refusing her request because of an important case going to trial which Lola she felt was more important May leaves for the day but agrees to return to work the next day, early at her employers request.

Lola decides to work late and falls asleep only to be awakened continuously by Ghosts from Black Histories Past and finds herself in situations where she is unprotected and victimized for being black. Will these experiences and testimonies be enough to change Lola’s mind and heart?


All in a Day’s Work


All in a Day’s Work is a drama about a young couple Dreema and Steffen Oliver, who both owns a beauty/barber shop in a small suburban town. Dreema tries desperately to hold the marriage and business together, Steffen continues to do everything to try and jeopardize it.

Dreeme is truly unaware of the depths her husband Steffen is willing to go to destroy their personal and business life. One particular week an employee of the shop gives Dreema news about her husband’s indiscretions that turn her entire world upside down. After several days she started to notice Steffen's secret phone calls after which he would disappear and return with crazy excuses.

After the conversation with her employee Dreema contacts a private detective and has her husband monitored and finds out the rumors are true. Now with a report in hand in black and white Dreema begins to set the stage for revenge against her husband. One of the phone calls she needs to make is to her ex-boyfriend at the Kansas City Police Department.



The Good Dad

The Good Dad is a short film about divorced father (Walter Fisher) doing everything he could to provide for his daughter (Tammy Fisher). His ex wife (Loletta Fisher) has done everything to keep the teenager away from her father including physically and metally abusing her over most of her young life. Loletta had her daughter believing that her father did not want to provide for her financially or emotionally. When Loletta did allow her daughter visits with her father she would make sure she was late and full of anger by doing her usual devilish work.

Tammy was so use to sharing her now single father with one girl friend after another or in some cases one wife after another. Loletta planned to crash Walters upcoming wedding to get a look at the new bride. After seeing the love and happiness in her soon to be stepmother eyes Tammy finds herself being drawn to the idea of being a part of this new family. However Loletta totally blocks the idea and after a small scene at the wedding decides to take her daughter home. Loletta starts a new drinking binge like so many others and begins to turn her daughter dreams of family into something ugly and painful.

Men with Standards

Men with Standards is a story about a group of men in church who are challenged with getting involved in the church and growing a ministry that seemed to be failing not only the church but the community.

Through the leadership of the minister Leon Smith men start to come to meetings and get involved in physical and biblical ministry in the church. Leon Smith worked so hard in the ministry it helped him to cover-up his own ghosts.

Sterling Smith age 13 the son of Leon Smith lost his mother several months ago from her battle with cancer. Leon started to neglect his son and his son started to believe that his father was the reason his mother had died. In order to get is father attention he committed to doing something that will get his attention. After Sterling finds his outlet for trouble and gets his father’s much needed attention he finds himself in the middle of a shoot-out and a possible suspect of murder charges.


If You Love Me

If You Love Me is a compelling story about a man (Monte Johnson) that is trying hard to do the right thing and save a woman’s life by help her to get off the streets and turn her life around. After taking the woman to his church for help the very ones that should have been helping her turned out to be the death of her.

Rita Summers has been ‘a woman of the night’ since she graduated from high school. When her parents died she pushed herself to finish high school but soon realized after graduation she had nothing and no one. At the cost of not being hungry she enter a life were the money came easy and so did two babies.

After almost 13 years of trying to find a way out she finally found someone she could trust. Monte was in the club with a male friend from church but it was obvious he was not comfortable there. Rita began to engage him in conversation and ended up talking about changing her life. She decided to try this ‘God’ he obviously loved so much.

However, when Rita went to the church with him she found herself surround by resistance from the ladies in the church. Faye the preacher’s daughter was the leader of the pack. After a confrontation Rita left the church not knowing as of that day she may never see her two children again. Faye however is blessed with not only seeing them but saving them.


Living in the Sistahood

Living in the Sistahood is a riveting saga of four sisters that are forced by different circumstance to move in with each other. The oldest sister is an author and has always been on the straight and narrow...at least that is what everyone thought. The sisters realize they don’t know each other as well as they thought. Living together has a way of revealing certain truths and secrets.

Ressa Morton is the author of several Christian motivation books. She owns the house in which the sister will dwell. Her secret could not only kill her but destroy everything she worked so hard to build.

Kim Morton is an ex Enron executive assistant. She has trouble finding a job because her experience only includes how she has done to work her way in the ranks of this nationally known fallen American Energy Company. No one will hire her because of scandal perpetrated by the executive in this organization. An you know what they say..

Carolyn Spencer has an abusive husband that will stop at nothing to see her dead. She doesn’t let her sisters know that she left her husband while he was at work. She figures that moving to a different city will make her safe but finds that this move could not only cause her to lose her life but the lives of her sister’s as well.

Lisa Morton is the partying little sister that thinks life is nothing but fun and games. Her sisters are very protective of her but she becomes bitter and starts to do all the opposite things that they expect of her.
